Tapestry in Literature and Creative Writing

The combination of this art with literature and creative writing has led to a lot of classical stories and books themed about a painting or artifact. Others have used tapestry as metaphor to imply a weaving of a narrative, and utilizing tapestry to theme a story has strengthened the power that tapestry has of telling a legend or story through a magnificent tableau. When we think of exactly what it is all about tapestry that motivates those to compose and customized tapestry utilize the craft in literature there is the weaving part of words being spun together to form a narrative. There might of course be a story hidden inside the stitches of a tapestry simply waiting to be educated or imagined and recreated. As the tapestry is created by good stitchery so stories have been developed through connecting ideas.

Stories Without End In The Walls

The Tapestry House was initially written by Mrs Molesworth in 1879 and is centred around a small woman who lives in a house where one of those rooms is covered in tapestry. Indeed her maid says that," There are stories without end from the walls of the tapestry space". Seeing the tapestry from the moonlight sees it draped in natural beauty and with creatures coming into life. Envision a peacock walking from a tapestry! A magic tale is woven, firing the imagination of those who gaze at a tapestry and wonder exactly what the picture actually means.

Silk Tapestry by Patrick Atagan tells the story of an older woman, a boy and a wild spirit who unite to modify the world around them in this charming Chinese folk story. The end of a magic tapestry is a core element to the story and enhances the mystique around classic and faded tapestries along with the narrative woven into the cloth.
